Joy Collins

Joy Collins, a 1991 graduate of Mount Holyoke College, teaches riders in physical education classes, oversees the popular community lesson program, and serves as show manager and course designer for the shows held at the Equestrian Center. Serving as assistant team coach, she helped the hunt seat team bring home top honors as National Champions in 2000.

Collins is a graduate H-A Pony Clubber and has established a Horseman’s Club for community riders to learn all aspects of proper horse care and stable management. Collins competes on the USEF circuit in hunters and jumpers and also enjoys eventing. She won 1st place at the spring 2004 King Oak Horse Trials aboard Mr. Pickle. Having sold Mr. Pickle, she is currently working with a young pony hunter prospect named Li’l Sprite.
