Scecina on Chancy: "CC plays with great energy and intensity all the time. She plays great defense and pushes the ball on the break extremely well. She also sees the floor and gets the ball to scorers. CC can also score herself, whether it’s driving the lane, hitting a mid range jump shot or drilling a three. She will be learning the speed and physical play of the college game this year and will improve with each game she plays. CC will be looked upon to help Katie with some of the ball handling duties and to play solid defense and be a scorer."

Captained the basketball and cross country squads. Earned Second Team All-State and First Team All-Dade County honors for basketball as a senior. Represented Dade County in a basketball all-star game against Broward County as a senior. Earned basketball team Most Valuable Player honors all four seasons.
