NEWMAC Announces Spring Academic All-Conference Squads
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) recently announced its 2008 Spring Academic All-Conference Teams. Twenty-four Mount Holyoke College student-athletes were recognized for their achievements in their respective sports as well as in the classroom. Academic All-Conference Teams were selected for the women's lacrosse, women's outdoor track and field and women's rowing.

Mount Holyoke to Donate Docks to Holyoke Rows
When the Friends of Rowing raised $14,000 to purchase a new dock for the MHC crew team, head coach Jeanne Friedman knew precisely what to do with the old one: It will be donated to Holyoke Rows, a nonprofit organization based at the city's Jones Ferry River Access Center.

Crew Races in New England Rowing Championships
The Mount Holyoke College women's crew team competed in the New England Rowing Championships today at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. All three varsity eight boats, as well as the novice boat, participated for the Lyons.

NEWMAC Announces Women's Rowing All-Conference Awards
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its 2008 women's rowing postseason awards today. Among the award winners were three members of the Mount Holyoke College team. Juniors Elissa Center and Katie Ouellette earned NEWMAC All-Conference Team honors, while first year Elizabeth Bernal was selected to the NEWMAC Novice Team.

Crew Posts Outstanding Results at NEWMAC Championships
The United States Coast Guard Academy captured its second straight New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's rowing championship this morning at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The Bears varsity eight boat claimed the title with a first place time of 6:52.07.

Crew Faces Off Against Tufts
The Mount Holyoke College crew team competed against Tufts University on the Malden River in Malden, Mass. today. Of the four races between the schools, the Lyons claimed one victory.

Crew Team Races in Head of the Charles
The Mount Holyoke College crew team turned in a fine performance this afternoon in the 43rd annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass. Racing amongst 44 teams in the Collegiate Eights event, the Lyons earned a tenth place finish with a time of 18:18.

Crew Team Excels at Head of the Housatonic
The Mount Holyoke College crew team opened its season on a positive note today, as it posted excellent results at the Head of the Housatonic Regatta. Seven boats competed in four events for the Lyons, who were facing off against some of the top squads in the region.

Crew Team Set to Open Season
The Mount Holyoke College crew team will kick off its season tomorrow at the Head of the Housatonic Regatta in Shelton, Conn. Coming off a successful 2006-07 campaign, 17th year head coach Jeanne Friedman is confident that her squad can once again compete for regional honors this year.

Crew Team Participates in Connecticut River Cleanup
The Mount Holyoke College crew team waded into the Connecticut River on Saturday as part of the 11th annual Connecticut River Watershed Source to Sea Cleanup, a one-day community cleanup of the Connecticut River and its tributaries. The four-state event was coordinated by the Connecticut River Watershed Council, a non-profit advocacy organization working to conserve and protect water quality and quantity, habitat and recreational access within the entire Connecticut River watershed.

Mount Holyoke Athletes Enjoy Annual Barbeque
The Mount Holyoke Department of Athletics kicked off its 2007-08 campaign with a barbeque outside of Kendall Hall. Student-athletes got their first glimpse of the College's new outdoor athletic complex.
