Field Hockey Team Earns National Academic Honors
The Mount Holyoke College women's field hockey team was recently recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for achieving a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. In addition, eight individual members of the team were named to the 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.

Mount Holyoke Field Hockey Duo Takes Home All-Region Honors
Mount Holyoke College juniors Jaimie Macari and Anne Doton have earned Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region accolades following outstanding performances this fall. Both players were named to the 2007 Division III New England East Second Team.

NEWMAC Announces Field Hockey All-Conference Awards
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) recently announced its 2007 field hockey postseason awards. Springfield College, winners of the league's Tournament Championship, led the way with a total of five All-Conference selections. Included in that group was junior Jane Kelleher, who picked up the NEWMAC Player of the Year award. First year Katie Frett of Wellesley College was named NEMWAC Rookie of the Year, while her coach, Rebecca Vaill, took home NEWMAC Coach of the Year accolades. WPI received the Conference's annual Sportsmanship Award.

Fall Academic All-Conference Squads Named by NEWMAC
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) recently announced its 2007 Fall Academic All-Conference Teams. Twenty-five Mount Holyoke College student-athletes were recognized for their achievements in their respective sports as well as in the classroom. Academic All-Conference Teams were selected for the sports of cross country, field hockey, soccer, tennis and volleyball.

Senior midfielder Brittany Veazie tallied two goals to help the fourth seeded Springfield College field hockey team to a 3-0 triumph over fifth seeded Mount Holyoke College in opening round action of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament today at Stagg Field. It was the Pride's fifth win in a row.

The Mount Holyoke College field hockey team picked up a 3-2 victory over New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) foe Smith College this evening in Northampton, Mass. With the win, the Lyons boosted their overall record to 5-5 and their league mark to 2-2.

The Lyons piled up four unanswered goals in the second half to secure their first New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) triumph of the 2007 campaign.

The Amherst College field hockey team exploded for four second half goals en route to a 5-0 victory over non-conference foe Mount Holyoke College this evening at the Mount Holyoke Turf Field. Senior forward Christa Porcaro and sophomore midfielder Haley Douds collected two goals apiece, as the Lord Jeffs captured their fourth straight win over the Lyons.

2007 Seven Sisters Field Hockey Classic - Day Two
For the second straight day, both Wellesley College and Mount Holyoke College earned shutout victories at the 2007 Seven Sisters Field Hockey Classic, hosted by Mount Holyoke. The Blue upended Elms College 8-0 in the first match of the day, and the Lyons followed that with a 7-0 triumph over Bryn Mawr College. Vassar College capped off the event with a 5-0 win over Smith College. Over the course of the two day competition, all six matches ended in shutouts.

Sophomore Emily Sypher notched the lone goal of the game, as the Simmons College women's field hockey team blanked non-conference foe Mount Holyoke College 1-0 this afternoon at Winsor School Field. It was the first contest of the 2007 campaign for both squads.

Field Hockey Set to Kick Off 2007 Campaign
Head coach Andy Whitcomb is optimistic that her squad can rebound this fall to once again become one of the top contenders in their Conference. The two-time NEWMAC and Regional Coach of the Year (2001, 2003) has reloaded her roster by adding nine talented newcomers to an impressive group of ten returning letter-winners.
