Athlete Profiles

Cassie HermanCassie Herman '09

Hometown: Westport, CT

High school: Greens Farms Academy

Major: Undeclared

Latest riding accomplishments: Named High Point College Rider at both the Williams and MHC Horse Shows (fall, 2006); successful on the A circuit in the high junior/amateur jumper division; won the team competition at Young Riders; had two clear rounds in the Derby at the Hampton Classic; competed in several Grand Prix events.

Best thing about Mount Holyoke riding: The team dynamic. It's great to ride as part of a team instead of solely for my own benefit. My teammates are my home away from home.

Best thing about Mount Holyoke: The small classes, understanding professors, and, of course, the riding team!

Sports played in high school: Tennis, basketball, and riding.

High school accomplishments in riding: Ribbons at some of the major equitation finals; ribbons in the low and high junior jumpers.

Tracey Mack '10

Tracey Mack '10

Hometown: Noank, CT

High school: Stonington

Major: Studio Art

Latest riding accomplishments: Qualifying for regionals in open flat (2007); Being Circut Champion of the Winter Equestrian Festival (2007)

Best thing about Mount Holyoke riding: Being on a team! Riding is normally an individual sport so it is nice to have team members to cre about and who care about it. It gives you a sense of accomplishment, even if you didn't win.

Best thing about Mount Holyoke: The community feeling. People always say that once you get to college, you are on your own, but I think that it the case here.

Sports played in high school: Champion at the Hampton Classic; 4th place team at Junior Olympics (2005).

High school accomplishments in riding: Photography and my dog Ludo.
