Head Coach Allen Fitzsimmons

Allen Fitzsimmons is in his second season as head coach of the squash program at Mount Holyoke College.

Prior to joining the Mount Holyoke staff, Fitzsimmons enjoyed a four year stint at the Westover School, where was a coach, teacher and athletic administrator. While working at the all-girls prep school in Middlebury, Connecticut, he served as head coach of the varsity squash team. Under his guidance, the team improved season after season, eventually posting a 15-3 record en route to a trip to the Girls' New England Interscholastic Squash Championships Class A Tournament in 2007-08. In 2006-07, his team captured top honors in the Class B Tournament.

A standout student-athlete at the University of Rochester, Fitzsimmons was a four-year member (2000-2004) of the men's squash team. Over his final three seasons with the team, he occupied the number one position and qualified for the Individual National Tournament. He also served as a team captain during those three seasons. Fitzsimmons was ranked as high as 42nd in the nation at one time. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Honors Economics and Political Science from Rochester in 2003.

Fitzsimmons is a Level 2 Certified Tennis Teaching Professional (United States Professional Tennis Association).
