Freestyle, Breaststroke, IM
 

Hometown: San Luis Obispo, CA

Major: American Studies

Latest accomplishments in swimming: Helped break three relay records 2005-06; placed third in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke at Seven Sisters; placed fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200 breaststroke at NEWMACs; received the Noll Newcomer Award (2004-2005).

Best thing about MHC swimming and diving: I love representing MHC at swim meets; when I'm swimming breaststroke, I can always see my teammates cheering for me at the end of my lane, which makes me so proud to be a Lyon!

Best thing about Mount Holyoke: The small discussion-based classes and the fact that we still have dining halls in some dorms.

Sports played in high school: Horseback riding and swimming.

High school accomplishments in swimming: Four-time Scholar-Athlete Emblem winner; Academic All-CIF; CIF Southern Section qualifier; Southern California AA Championship Meet; two-time winner of PAC-5 league.

Other interests: Photography, public speaking, law, and country music.

Freestyle, Butterfly

Hometown: Oakdale, CT

Major: Chemistry

Latest accomplishments in swimming: Holds 9 Team (individual and relay) records; Broke 12 school records (individual and relay) at the 2006 NEWMAC Championship; placed second in the 100 butterfly, second in the 200 freestyle, and third in the 200 freestyle at the 2005 Seven Sisters Championship.

Best thing about MHC swimming and diving: The team unity and passion to work hard and have fun.

Best thing about Mount Holyoke: The interest that the professors have in seeing their students succeed.

Sports played in high school: YMCA and USA Swimming and varsity tennis.

High school accomplishments in swimming: Held eight team records; three-time Most Outstanding for 13 and over age group; two-time cocaptain.

Other interests: Photography, ultimate frisbee, and teaching.
