Tentative Itinerary

The 2008 Mount Holyoke College Alumnae Volleyball Match will be held at Mount Holyoke on Saturday, August 30, 2008.  Alumnae can arrive early on Friday evening to be hosted by a “little sister” on the current varsity volleyball team (optional).  The match will be held on Saturday, with warm-ups beginning at 3:00 p.m.  The games will start at 4:00 p.m. and will follow the current collegiate thirty-point format.  After the match, an “ice-breaker dinner” has been planned so that the Alumnae and current students can get to know one another. The weekend will close with brunch on Sunday morning. 

The goal of the Alumnae match and weekend is to allow current varsity volleyball team members to make valuable connections with Mount Holyoke Volleyball Alumnae.  In order to defray costs, we are respectfully encouraging each alumna to contribute at least $50 toward the weekend.  Your contribution will help to cover the cost of shuttles to and from the airport, as well as dinner Saturday evening and a complimentary brunch on Sunday. Your donation will also help provide the team with funding for traveling and competing outside the United States.  In the past, the team has spent time in Puerto Rico and Trinidad.  We hope that by continuing the tradition of the Alumnae Volleyball Match, we can ensure that each graduating class has the opportunity to travel internationally with the Mount Holyoke Varsity Volleyball Team.
