Telephone Service in Residence Halls

The Mount Holyoke College Telephone System is designed for you and your family and friends to stay in touch, and for you to save money. In every student room, each roommate has her own unique telephone number and data connection. Each student will need to bring her own touch-tone telephone in order to access the College's Telephone System. Cordless phones are not recommended.

Mount Holyoke College has chosen PAETEC Communications, Inc. as your long distance service provider. This specialized service is called Campuslink .

With your PBN, you are billed for only the calls you make and you can make calls from any residence hall room.

To Sign Up for Service:
You will need to access the PAETEC and choose the sign up link.

Individualized Bill:
With an individualized bill, you can eliminate the confusion that comes with sharing your phone bill with your roommate(s).

Multiple Payment Options:
You have the option to pay your bills online via PAETEC, by mail, or by contacting Paetec's Customer Service at 1.800.962.4772.

Calling Guide:
The PAETEC Calling Guide gives you dialing instructions, billing and credit limit information, repair procedures, and more. It will be available on our website.

Once you start using your PAETEC long distance service, make sure to have your account number and PBN on hand to access your account information at Campus Link

Once online, you can obtain the following information:

  • Current account balance

When dialing from off-campus to Mount Holyoke residence hall rooms use 413-493-XXXX. Calls within the campus system require only the four-digit extension number. To make sure that you are in the correct jack, when you arrive in your room, dial extension 3060. The system will tell you what extension is assigned to that jack. You can find out your assigned extension by referencing the printed telephone directory or the electronic telephone directory.
