Other Funding Resources

There are additional funding sources available to MHC students that are external to the UAF system.  These opportunities are diverse and numerous, ranging from research grants provided by MHC faculty to summer fellowship opportunities offered by international organizations.   You must apply to these award sponsors directly.

MHC Coordinated Funding Opportunities

Karen Snyder Sullivan Travel Award provides summer travel support for students who have not traveled outside the U.S. after the age of five.

  • Lotte Kaliski Foundation for Gifted Children, Inc. Scholarships for students with physical handicaps or learning disabilities.
  • Funding from research grants to individual faculty members is also available each summer, especially in the science departments. We urge you to talk with professors about the availability of summer opportunities in their areas of research.

External Funding

Summer funding, academic-year and post-graduate opportunities from sources external to the college are widely available. MHC's Fellowships Program is designed to help you decide whether or not you would like to apply for awards and guide you through the process and available resources.
