Barbara McClearn Baumann '77
2008-2013 Barbara Baumann, a 1977 Mount Holyoke magna cum laude graduate, is president of Cross Creek Energy Corporation of Denver, Colorado and serves on the corporate boards of St. Mary Land & Exploration and Unisource Energy Corporation. She was formerly executive vice president of Associated Energy Managers, LLC, a private equity firm in the energy business, as well as a vice president of Amoco Corporation.
An American studies major in college, Barbara received an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School in 1981. She has been an active Mount Holyoke volunteer, serving on the Alumnae Association's board as treasurer and a member of the Finance Committee from 1990 to 1994. She received the Alumnae Medal of Honor from the Alumnae Association in 1997. She has been a Cornerstone representative for the development office over the last decade, and was a lead gift chair for her class's 20th reunion. She previously served on the Mount Holyoke board from 1997-2007.
Barbara also serves on the board of Board of Girls, Inc. of Metro Denver and serves on the Finance Committee of The Children's Hospital. She and her husband, Fred, have a son, Peter. The family resides in Denver, Colorado.
