Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
In a typical home, 75% of the electricity used to power electronics is consumed while the equipment is turned off. Avoid this wasted energy by unplugging the equipment or using a power strip to cut power to the equipment. So whether on campus or at home, cut the phantom load and your carbon footprint. For more information on campus energy use, visit go/energy.

Better yet, use one less sheet of paper per day and one less plastic bottle a week and the reduction goes to 38.2 tons, equivalent to 7.5 cars.
