Alexander McCall Smith Canceled

The event with Alexander McCall Smith on April 28 has been canceled. Mr. Smith could not fly to this country because of the Icelandic volcano, and his publisher decided to cancel his entire U.S. tour. For more information visit the Odyssey Bookshop Web site.

Raising Aid for Haiti and Chile

Raising aid and awareness for Haiti and Chile on Sunday, April 25, 3 pm, Abbey Chapel The Rev. Billy & the Stop Shopping Gospel Choir will put on one of their attention getting shows. Check out their Web site. Suggested donation: $5 to $20, for earthquake relief efforts in Haiti and Chile.

Shuttle Bus Available to Boathouse Celebration

Shuttle van service will be available to and from the College Community Boathouse Celebration on Sunday, April 25. The shuttle service will run from 11 am until after noon from the Kendall parking lot and then resume at the conclusion of the event at 1:30 pm. Some parking will also be available at the site of the new boathouse at 240 Ferry Street as well as along Ferry Street near the driveway to the boathouse. The event itself runs from noon to 1:30. Celebrate Valentine’s Day Weekend at Willits-Hallowell

Willits- Hallowell has two occasions to celebrate this Valentine’s Day. Our Romance in France Dinner & Cooking Class on Saturday, February 13th, at 6 pm (see menu); and our annual Valentine’s Brunch will be on Sunday, February 14th, from 11:30 am-1:30 pm (see menu). Haitian Casualties

To date we know of no MHC alumnae or students lost, injured, or missing as a result of the earthquake. Anyone who has such information should inform the Office of the President via email.
