“Well, the library is just a good space. It’s quiet, and I’m really social and I’m really active in different organizations, but also just in general. I know a lot of people on campus, so when I see someone in the library and they see me, they know that I’m doing work, so it kind of like you can’t come and interact with me. You kind of like place that wall. Like, okay, this is academic time, and I think people respect that space. And it’s just a quiet, comfortable space. I love the library. It feels homey, it feels warm, you know, and it also has this kind of academic feel, and just seeing other women around you focusing on their work. It just pushes to kind of do work. I know there are times when I’m in my room. People have different study habits, but when I’m in my room, I look at the computer, I look around, I can read that book. So there are so many distractions in my room. So the library just kind of you know helps me focus, and puts me right back on task where I need to be. So, it’s a good space, but it can be a social space as well. So when you want that break, going downstairs to get a cup of coffee or tea, and chatting in the chatty area, or — doing a big project, there’s a specific area where you can speak. So there’s a lot of interaction, but just having that space to study, just works for me.”
