360-degree image of concert performance space in Pratt Hall.
“Well, Mount Holyoke campus is beautiful. Pratt is a beautiful building. It’s just a great reflection of Mount Holyoke itself because of the newer aspects. And then there’s the whole historical building itself. I actually live right across from Pratt in Wilder Hall, so it’s definitely a very convenient place for me to be. And then there is the auditorium, which is usually where the concerts are held. And the Warbeke Room, which is really my favorite. It’s just such a comfortable room. The acoustics are great. There’s hardwood floors and it’s brightly lit [and] you just feel so much at home and at ease in such a beautiful or what could otherwise be a very imposing surrounding. There’s also virtual acoustic rooms, which I love. It’s somewhere where you can change the acoustic or simulate the acoustic of any setting. It could be an opera house, it could be an auditorium, it could be a cathedral, and you could be able to hear how your voice reflects in that setting. So a lot of times I noticed my music-ensemble friends go there and they just play music and see how different sounding it is. So that’s a great place to be.”
