Sarah:

“You really get sort of personal connections here. My roommate from last year, for one, was…well I consider her my best friend here, and she’s always been supportive of me. I remember when I performed in my first concert with my early-music choir, and she didn’t have any interest in music at all, but she still came to the concert, she brought a few of her friends, and she even brought me flowers from Atkins because that was just the thoughtful person that she was. My new roommate, she’s from Georgia in Eastern Europe, and she’s also had an extraordinary life. She lived through the civil war in Georgia; she went to seven different high schools in places as far as Germany, Indonesia, America, and she’s also had these extraordinary experiences. So I’ve learned so much not just from the professors, but also from my fellow students. And they’re really extraordinary here.”
