Campus Improvements

As one of the nation’s leading liberal arts institutions, Mount Holyoke is constantly upgrading and improving its impressive campus. Many of the College’s current initiatives stem from The Plan for Mount
Holyoke 2003
, which was developed under the leadership of President Joanne V. Creighton.

MHC Botanic Garden

The Mount Holyoke College Botanic Garden encompasses the campus, an arboretum, numerous gardens and Talcott Greenhouse.

The U.S. Green Building Council has developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification program to evaluate environmental performance of buildings. The College is pursuing LEED certification for the science building project.

President Joanne V. Creighton has signed the Talloires Declaration, a statement of institutional commitment to raising public awareness of the need to move toward an environmentally sustainable future.
