Homework: Homework can be handed in during class or put in the envelope outside my office door. Homework is due by 5 pm on the due date. Graded homework can be picked up any time from the other envelope on my bulletin board. Homework can be redone and handed in again; the higher score will count. They must be done soon after the assignment is returned to you.

Schedule: The daily schedule of the course is at www.mtholyoke.edu/courses/adurfee/f06/math125/math101-sch.htm.

Graders: TBA

Technology: You should have a scientific calculator (one able to calculate trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions). Graphing calculators are not required.

Quizzes and Tests: There will be a brief quiz once a week. They will be announced in advance, as well as the topics on the quiz. There will be two tests, on Wednesday October 18 and Wednesday November 15 and a self-scheduled final examination. All quizzes and tests are closed book. If you are unable to take a quiz or test for any reason, you should consult with me, preferably beforehand. (You may call my answering machine at x2299 at any time, day or night.) They can always be taken early. Tests taken late for reasons other than illness will have points deducted from your score.

Placement test: Everybody who has not done so should take the placement test.

Evening help sessions: Sunday through Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00 PM in Clapp 401.

Grading: Each test is 80 points, the self-scheduled part of the final examination is 80 points, the take-home part of the final exam is 20 points, homework is 80 points. Each lab is about 15 points. Each quiz is about 10 points, and the lowest quiz score will be dropped.
