NOTES ON USING ODE ARCHITECT

1. The left hand side of the screen is the side for inputs, and the
right hand side is for outputs.

2. To put a graph in a report (using Report Writer), put the mouse on
the graph, right click "copy" and then paste into the report.

3. If Report Writer disappears behind the ODEA screen, just make the
latter smaller by clicking on the appropriate tab in the upper right
corner.

4. To get direction fields: First enter the equations in the top left
screen
			x' = ...
			y' = ...

(or whatever your variables are), then click on the "x-y" tab under
the top right screen, then put the mouse on the screen and right click
"direction fields".

5. To get vector fields: Do the above. Then put the mouse on the
screen, right click "edit" and choose "direction fields" and then
"arrows".

6. To find numerical approximations of the equilibria: Click the tab
"equilibrium" on the lower left screen. Enter the coordinates of a
point near the equilibrium you would like to find. Click calculate.
The point which the program finds will be indicated on the upper right
screen, and its coordinates will appear in the lower right screen. Each
point is numbered. How point is marked indicates whether it is a sink,
source, etc.

7. To change the scales on a graph: Put the mouse on the screen and right
click "scales". The first screen is for X scale. Unclick "Auto
Scale" and enter values. Then click the upper tab "Y scale", unclick
"Auto Scale" and enter values. When done, click "OK" at the bottom.
