Responding to Emergencies

Course Description:

• American Red Cross (ARC) Class
• 2 possible ARC certifications: Responding to Emergencies (3 years) and Adult/Child/Infant CPR (1 year)
• With certifications will receive 3 PE credits; 2 PE credits without certifications

Requirements:

• Attendance (Maximum of 3 absences)
• One six-hour Saturday session in February or March to complete the CPR section

Grading:

• Midterm (Pass/Fail)
• Final Practical (Pass/Fail)
• Students must attain a passing score of 80% in order to receive the ARC Responding to Emergencies certification

• $5.00 charge to receive the two ARC certifications
