Survey

What follows is the form we used to solicit information about ethics guidelines in various academic departments. This was not a survey in that the departments did not choose their answers from a list of options. Had this been the case, the results might have been quite different. For example, two departments specifically mentioned the College's Guide to the Use and Acknowledgment of Sources as its ethics guidelines. We would speculate that had the departments been able to choose from a list of answers instead of thinking the answer up on their own, some of the departments that said they had no ethics guidelines might have instead answered that the College's Guide served as their ethical guidelines. Of course, this brings up the question of whether or not the College's Guide is an example of ethics guidelines. We would argue that it is not.
