· These women inspire the women of today to never doubt
· Our similarities exceeded our differences.
· The enduring nature and value system Mount Holyoke instills in past and present graduates
· The students were bright, comfortable, easy to talk to, and confident-typical of what MHC women should be!
· The Class of 1955 seem to take societal changes in stride
· These women are 30 years younger than my education!!
· We haven't changed very much-maybe 50 years isn't very long after all!

What was one significant memory about Mount Holyoke that you recalled during the group interviews?

· Correspondence used to be by mail-penny postcards and 3 cent stamps
· How MHC looked when I first saw it
· Importance of academic advisor, Bessie Boyd.
· Signing in after dates, and chapel requirements.
· The comfort of society in 1955, yet the opportunity to be freely myself.
· Watching the McCarthy hearings on TV in Wilder
· "I was personally responsible for the V-8s only accepting sophomores-my first year grades were so bad they almost kicked me out!"
· why we came to MHC

Feel free to use the rest of this sheet to write down any other thoughts that you have while you are participating in the group interviews.

· Great disappointment at the end of 4 years that there were limited opportunities presented for the future.
· There is still a passion for MHC in today's class-each person brings new interpretation to that passion.
· Freedom of choice in career and life now is wonderful!
· Our class has grown and changed with the times!
· We sang a great deal then!
