On
April 30th, 2004, the Sociology 224 class and the Class of 1955 met at Mount
Holyoke for the long-awaited collective interview. Both students and alumnae
were very excited and anxious about the event. Of course, everything went smoothly
and it was a great day for all! Not only was the class of 1955 able to talk
with the students and learn more about the college today, but the students were
also able to ask their questions about what Mount Holyoke was like in the 1950s.
Rather than a purely nostalgic event, it turned into an event with substance
and was as momentous as everyone had intended.
