Project 2 - The Yellow Card Project: 1955 in Demographic Profile

Financial Aid Status

Against the evidence of overwhelming privilege among students of the class of 1955, there is also the evidence of a substantial financial aid population. Although many of our interview recipients did not recall financial aid being an issue, the yellow cards reveal that fully one third of the class received some form of financial aid. Further research would be required to document the nature and amount of such aid, although common forms required work-study or working in exchange for college support.
