Social Discipline Notes

Students who broke campus rules received social discipline notes. These notes then further regulated the student’s behavior and freedoms. The most common notes were written when students missed curfew and usually resulted in the student losing off campus privileges. The requirements for students regarding rules were quite strict. One student recalled losing privileges after neglecting to include “P.M.” when signing in from a night out (see Joan Ripley, April 30th meeting with the Sociology 224 class).
