Weekly
Reading Responses You are asked to critically engage one piece from each week’s readings and produce a succinct, accurate evaluation. You must identify the central argument, the evidence the author uses to support that argument, and make a case for whether or not you find the argument persuasive. Your response will be only 1 page long, and we will begin with a “practice” together in class on the first day. By the end of the semester, your response should be limited to a paragraph in which every word counts. Responses are due in my Merrill House mailbox by end of business the Wednesday before class, or you can email them to me as Word attachments at etownsle@mtholyoke.edu.
