Looking into the Future What Can You Do?

Our Environmental Studies Senior Seminar has spent spring semester 2004 researching the history, current use patterns, and perceived future of energy on the Mount Holyoke College campus. Our efforts have been motivated by the innovative campus technologies that are currently developing on scales that we believe are within the means of our own campus. We foresaw this project as a means of creating awareness of energy issues on campus. Our goal of extending the project into the near future will be best served by encouraging the development of an environmental initiative group comprised of students, faculty, and staff. Combining innovative campus energy practices with feasible energy technology will require the participation and commitment of all members of our campus community.
