Mission Statement

We, the students of the Environmental Studies Senior Seminar hope to educate and inspire students, faculty and staff of Mount Holyoke College through our efforts and research contained within this website. We aim to achieve a more sustainable campus by promoting environmental responsibility, conservation of resources, energy efficiency, and increased reliance on renewable energy sources.

Student Energy Consumption Survey Results
A Closer Look at Mount Holyoke Students' Energy Use Patterns




The data from our Earth Day 2004 Student Energy Survey is displayed in the following pages. The survey data was compiled according to the percentage of students in each dormitory who participated. The calculated averages of all the dorms are used here for data presentation. The charts that are provided detail student use of lightbulbs, computers, radiators, and other appliances.
