Instructor: Janice Gifford
Office hours: sign up sheet outside my office Description: The course will meet 3 times each week. The class meetings will be a combination of lecture, discussion, questions, and computer work. Our textbook will be "Applied Regression Analysis" by Terry E. Dielman (4th Edition). We will be using the computer on a regular basis and will be using SPSS, the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Grades will be based on two exams, weekly homework, class participation, and final project. Homework will be assigned on Tues and Thursday of each week. Problems should be written up and handed in no later than the following Monday. I encourage you to work together on the homework problems, but each of you must write up your own results independently. There will be two exams during the semester (see the schedule below.) The final project will consist of finding an appropriate data set, analyzing and writing up the results. Classroom presentations will be expected throughout the course. The schedule below is subject to revision. |
