Steps to accomplish your group projects:
· Write a script for
the movie = a written essay that has to be approved by the professor
· Prepare a phonetic version of your script
·
Scan, capture still images (40 - 50) from books,
DVDs and VHS tapes, or download them from the Web
(Build your bibliography as you go along. Make sure that you take note of the source of each image)
·
Prepare the images in Photoshop (640 x 480, jpeg
format)
·
Create a storyboard, matching each
of the
images with the script on paper
·
Record your script with iMovie or Audacity
·
Find some background music
·
Create a new project in iMovie and import your
image and sound files into iMovie
· Edit the movie in iMovie by adjusting images with your recorded script, adding titles and text, Ken Burns effect or transitions to the images in iMovie (transition and effects should be done last)
·
Add chapters (optional) and create
an iDVD project in iMovie
·
Customize your movie in iDVD and
burn a DVD
· Since you have scanned and captured the images from the copyrighted books, DVDs and VHS tapes you should treat them as citied references from books and articles and create a bibliography.
·
The bibliography can be put at the
end of the movie as credits, or on paper if its too
long, and handed in separately from the DVD project.
· Follow the format in MLA Citation Style in creating your bibliography: http://library.menloschool.org/mla.html
· One student from each group will check out an external hard drive at the Circulation Desk in the library.
· The loan period will end on May 10. (The overdue fine is $ 10 a day.)
