Textbooks

No textbook this year

If you feel you would like an introductory textbook, you can order:
MATLAB: A Practical Introduction to Programming and Problem Solving
        by Stormy Attaway (Elsevier, 2009)

especially good if you are new to programming. A second book:

Numerical Computing with MATLAB (revised reprint)
by Cleve B. Moler (SIAM, 2004)

by the inventor of MATLAB, is more a collection of case studies in how MATLAB can be used. It is not at all required but might be of interest for those planning intense use of Matlab in scientific work. You can find much of the material in the latter book online (see the resources link).

I will also look for more links to online tutorials. Stay tuned.
