reaction to Globalization article

In the “Two views of Globalization”, Robert Wright speaks primarily about how Globalization has opened the flood gates for terrorist activity, especially since 9/11. Robert Samuelson argues that globalization, instead of allowing states to flourish due to the positive incoming of “goods“, it instead is causing countries to reverse and is only bringing “bad’s” into states. Both authors seem primarily concerned with globalizations negatives, in impeding on countries ability to develop.
However, little is said for what globalization allows the super power states to do. Yes, terrorist activity is extremely easy due to globalization, but terrorist activity had been bringing negatives into states for centuries. However, States like the U.S have seen the negatives of globalization as a mandate to enter distraught, burdened countries, like that of Iraq to free them from their troubles, perhaps caused by globalization. In a way though, this American mission to free those burden counties is too a negative aspect of globalization. America has disturbed the “balance of power” between what president Bush refers to as the “Axis of evil. Entering Iraq has allowed Iran and Korea to become increasingly stronger. How long is it till, the U.S then has to enter those states. The hope to stop the negatives globalization has caused like terrorism, is fueling an entire different and unseen aspect of globalization: the breaking of a states own sovereignty. How long will it be, until another state see’s the US as an unbalanced and dangerous power, and feels that the US is causing more negative globalization, than it is fixing. How long will it be until, international laws are made mandating that all states participate in an “international EU”, which will limit states like the US from entering countries, whether or not their intentions were good. Soon sovereignty will be dissolved by globalization. The term globalization will develop an entirely different meaning, as states will no longer have a sovereignty to protect from globalization.
