Les Misérables

Illustrations from the on-line text by the University of Virginia.

These images appear to be from a French illustrated edition of 1862 that featured illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville, Brion, and Emile BAYARD who created the most famous image, that of Cosette which was popularized by the musical.

The images were prepared in the on-line edition from a Thomas Y. Crowell reprint of an English translation and copyrighted in 1887.

They cannot be used for commerical purposes.
