"Curiosity is the lust of the mind" --
Hobbes
| Are
we curious because it is inherent, or are we curious because
we are tempted? Many historical texts tell us stories of various
characters and their journeys towards knowledge. They all have
a common thread, that of curiosity. Mary Shelley has drawn her
inspiration from many of these works to tell her own tale if
curiosity and its lustful and passionate nature. It is a tale
of the consequences of such passions. Such consequences that
just may be leading to the downfall of mankind. |
