The
Nature of a Scientist
|
| The obsessive
nature of scientist stems from the dedication the have to their
personal work. Their numerous hours of research and experimentation
isolates them from the outside world. Often, the mind of a scientist
is not understood by the average person, and is often then subject
to ridicule. The portrayal of a man sitting in a dark room,
often a basement, furiously working with chemicals quickly becomes
the standard vision of what a scientist looks like. From this
develops stereotypes. |

Newton dared to push the boundaries
of perception in his time. He went again modern beliefs that
the Earth was the center of the universe and introduced new
theories which revolutionized the mode of thinking and the perception
of the world. |
