1860 = decade between 1861 census and 1871 census

1870 = decade between 1871 census and 1881 census

1880 = decade between 1881 census and 1891 census

1900 = decade between 1901 census and 1911 census

 

Tm_mig[date]

Total number of MALES (aged 5 to 64) added or subtracted to a District’s population during the specific decade that is attributable to migration.  A positive number represents an increase from the beginning of the given decade to its end; a negative number represents a decrease over the same period.  The date is the beginning of a decade, e.g., Tm_mig71 means the total change in the district population due to migration during the decade 1871-1881.

Figures are estimates of the residuals that remain after 1) calculating the difference in population from one census to the next and 2) subtracting from that figure the difference due to natural increase (or decrease) [births less deaths].

Tf_mig[date]

Total number of FEMALES (aged 5 to 64) added or subtracted to a District’s population during the specified decade that is attributable to net migration. Positive or negative figures represent increases or decreases as above.

Tmig[date]

Total number of INDIVIDUALS (males and females, aged 5 to 64) added or subtracted to a District’s population during the specified decade that is attributable to net migration. Positive or negative figures represent increases or decreases as above.

Tpmig[date]

Total PERCENT CHANGE in population due to estimated net migration [for all age and sex groups]
