Tm_mig[date] |
Total number of MALES (aged 5 to 64) added or subtracted to a District’s population during the specific decade that is attributable to migration. A positive number represents an increase from the beginning of the given decade to its end; a negative number represents a decrease over the same period. The date is the beginning of a decade, e.g., Tm_mig71 means the total change in the district population due to migration during the decade 1871-1881. Figures are estimates of the residuals that remain after 1) calculating the difference in population from one census to the next and 2) subtracting from that figure the difference due to natural increase (or decrease) [births less deaths]. |
