I see your point blue, but you must consider what other chemicals cocaine is mixed with before it is sold. Pure cocaine will kill you, it needs to be mixed with different things to decrease the potency of the cocaine itself. The chemicals used can be more addictive than thought. And I have to agree with marijuana being legalised. Think about the Netherlands.
: i agree that the government should not be taking things like cigarettes off the market. it will just create an underground market for cigarettes. the same argument can be made for legalizing marijuana, which is less harmful than tobacco, especially the chemically treated tobacco we're smoking now. ultimately the same argument can be made for cocaine, too. and i think you're wrong, sara, about the addictive strength of cigarettes. it is actually more addictive than cocaine. probably less than heroine, though, but where do we draw the cut-off. should government be deciding when something is too addictive? that would open the door to taking tobacco off the market if it is found to be over the line.
