hey..they were sharecroppers right? because the family mentioned how the landlord is taking more and more of their surplus , leaving them very little to feed the children..im not quite sure why they have to leave either .. is it because since the lords are taking more and more of what they produce, they no longer can survive and thus are drive to work someplace else? im confused now too.... sorry.
