Race is not real from a biological standpoint. It is real from a social standpoint. I guess this means people get labelled as belonging to a race and then they get treated in a certain way because of the label. That makes it real from a social standpoint. Because it is not real from any other standpoint, then it is easy for someone to be labelled in different ways and not have any problem. You could even have someone labelled white in one context and then something other than white in a different context.
