Using JBuilder in the Lab

Before you use JBuilder in the lab you must register to use the product. When you register, you will receive a text file that you must save in your home directory (C:\Documents and Settings\username. JBuilder needs to be able to find this file in order to run. For more information, you can visit the Borland web site http://community.borland.com/article/0%2C1410%2C28134%2C00.html

Following are the instructions for registration:

  1. Open the Borland web page at: http://www.borland.com/products/downloads/download_jbuilder.html#.
  2. Select Personal.
  3. A new page will open. Select New User and enter the information requested.
  4. You will receive -- via email -- a file containing the key. Save that email attachment into C:\Documents and Settings\username -- that's YOUR username.
  5. The first time you launch JBuilder you will need to tell the software where to find the key.
