Family & Friends Weekend
Since many of our international students now make their own plans for Family and Friends' Weekend, Global Initiatives and the International Club will no longer sponsor "something extra" for international students who are on campus during that weekend. However, the International Club hosts a "Home Sweet Home" gathering on Saturday. During this event international students cook food from their countries and there is a slide show with pictures from home. There is also a special reception in the Global Lounge (McCulloch Center for Global Initiatives) on Saturday afternoon of Family and Friends' Weekend. We encourage international students to attend both events!
SOME OF OUR PAST EXCURSIONS:
- 2005: Trip to Six Flags Amusement Park in Springfield, Massachusetts.
- 2004: Special "Activities Day" at McCray's Farm in South Hadley featured a special "Haunted Hay Ride" and a hay ride to McCray's Pumpkin Patch. Students also played mini-golf, visited the zoo and, of course, enjoyed McCray's delicious homemade ice cream!
- 2003: Trip to Six Flags Amusement Park in Springfield, Massachusetts. Students participated in "Fright Fest" to celebrate Halloween.
