Summer Internships
An international internship offers students the chance to immerse themselves fully in the host country, where they are working full-time and contibuting to the daily operations of the host organization. Working in a different cultural context challenges students to communicate across difference and develop a global perspective in their chosen academic or professional field.
Students interested in interning abroad are encouraged to explore the MHC International Internship Program (for sophomores and juniors) or to find their own international internship. (Please see Developing Your Own International Internship for resources.) Students can apply for funding for unpaid summer internships through the Universal Application Form.

Working and living in a very different culture was a challenge unlike any other I have experienced. But the summer I spent in Japan was also one of the most rewarding experiences in my college career, mostly of the incredibly strong, great friendships I developed with the students. It was amazing how alike we are, even while leading incredibly different lives.
