Study Abroad Program Intern

Housing: Homestay in Seville; Student must secure her own housing in Amherst for the month of August
Qualifications: Fluent in Spanish; preferrably with experience studying abroad.

The Center for Cross-Cultural Study offers a Mount Holyoke student a summer internship in the administration and management of a study abroad program. The intern will work in all key components of this business during the months of June, July and August. She will spend June and July on-site in Seville, Spain working with the directors, members of the administrative staff, and summer program students. Her responsibilities will include assisting with orientation, housing coordination, cultural activity coordination, medical visits, and classroom coordination.
The intern will spend the month of August in the U.S. office in Amherst, MA, working on preparing the coming academic year and the departure of fall semester students for their stay in Seville. She will also maintain contact with summer students still in Seville.
It would be preferable for this intern to be fluent in Spanish and to have studied abroad for a period of time.
