International Student Orientation Committee Application for 2009 - 2010

(APPLICATION DUE on Friday, February 13, 2009)

ISOC members help plan and carry out fall and spring orientation activities for new international students. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to help welcome new students and introduce them to life at Mount Holyoke. Members must return to campus a few days before fall and spring orientation officially begins and be able to devote most of their time to ISOC. This means that applicants cannot have jobs or other commitments which require special training sessions before or during Orientation. Since current ISOC members will interview all applicants, you must be on campus when you apply for membership on the committee. You will be contacted for an interview--interviews will take place during the week of February 23rd.

If you are chosen to be on ISOC, you will normally continue as a member of the committee until you graduate. If you have any questions about ISOC, please contact one of the current co-chairs, Aazia Hossain (hossa20a), Trishna Rana (rana20t), or Minji Yang (yang20m). You may also contact Donna Van Handle, Dean of International Students (dvanhand).
