The .CTRLSHERE Command

Syntax: .CTRLSHERE

By default, when the document interface adds navigation controls and the copyright message to your page, it places them at the very bottom. If you want to make them appear further up the page, perhaps because you are using a table, the .CTRLSHERE command will move them for you.

Simply put, this command tells the DI to place the navigation controls and copyright message at the location where the command itself appears in your SHTML file. The MHC Web site uses this command on most of its pages, so that the controls will appear within the red lines of the outer table, rather than at the bottom of the whole page.
