The .DBARRAY Command

Syntax: .DBARRAY [Local] name=filename

This command reads the database file described by filename into the variable called name. The file must reside in the same folder as the document that references it. For example:

<!--.dbarray fruits="fruits.txt"-->

reads the file called fruits.txt into the variable fruits. Note that any previous value fruits may have had is overwritten.

This command will also set a number of other internal variables which describe the database. For a description of how to access the data contained in a variable created by this command, refer to the page on database variable syntax.

For a description of the Local parameter, please refer to the section on functions.
