Syntax: .TOP URL= [Label=] [Target=]
The Top button belongs to a row of controls that are used for navigating through multi-page documents. Its purpose is to take the reader back to the most general page in a document, ususally the title page.
You can specify the behavior of the Top button with the following command:
.TOP URL= [Label=]
For example:
<!--.TOP
URL="../index.shtml"-->
The optional Label parameter allows you to change the name of the button when it appears as text.
The Target parameter creates a link that points to another window or
frame. Use a value of _parent to break out of frames, _blank
to open a new window with the link, or another name of your choice to refer
to a particular window or frame.
| In its current implementation, the Document Interface displays the button as a graphic at the top of the page and as text at the bottom of the page. It will normally be unnecessary and undesirable to change the label of this button. |
| There is no default behavior for this button. If you do not define it, it will not appear on the page. |
