Syntax: .UP URL= [Label=] [Target=]
The Up button belongs to a row of controls that are used for navigating through multi-page documents. Its purpose is to take the reader up one level in the structure of the document, for example from Section 1.1 to Section 1.
You can specify the behavior of the Up button with the following command:
.UP URL= [Label=]
For example:
<!--.UP URL="section.shtml"
Label="Beginning of
Section"-->
Normally, the Document Interface program will construct the Up button as a text button of the form:
Go to "ButtonLabel"
The Label parameter is optional. The default value of Label
is the title of the document pointed to by the URL attribute.
The Target parameter creates a link that points to another window or
frame. Use a value of _parent to break out of frames, _blank
to open a new window with the link, or another name of your choice to refer
to a particular window or frame.
| There is no default behavior for this button. If you do not define it, it will not appear on the page. |
| You should not include both the Up button and the Subdocument Link on the same page. |
