Step by Step Instructions

Resizing an Image

1. Make sure you are using RGB Color mode.

2. Open the Image->Image Size dialog.

3.

a. Make sure the Resolution is set for 72 pixels/inch (dpi).

b. If you want to change the dimensions to a factor of the original, change either the Pixel Dimensions: Width or Height popup to Percent and type-in a percentage. As long as the "link" symbol appears toward the right, any changes you make to one dimension affects the other automatically. Ignore the Print Size settings.

4. Click on OK and check your work. Remember: if you don't like the result, you can always Undo it!
