Incorporating News or
Highlights
We
created a special program, called news channels, that allows the
MHC community to easily add News or Highlights to their homepages
directly from a Web browser. You can set up the channel so that
stories rotate on the page by priority and are then archived.
If you would like to incorporate a news channel on your site:
- Write to: webmaster@mtholyoke.edu
- ask for a news channel to be set up for you.
- provide a description of the purpose of your channel (what types
of information you will be incorporating).
- provide the exact location of the news channel; i.e.: Athletics
http://www.mtholyoke.edu/athletics/.
- include usernames of individuals to be authorized to write to
the channel.
- After you have been notified that your channel has been established,
contact Theresa Chamberland for an appointment to review how to
use the channel; webhelp@mtholyoke.edu.
Or, go to the Faculty Resource Center (in Dwight) to learn how
to use the news channel. FRC hours are Monday to Friday from 2:00
p.m. to 4:30 p.m. If these hours are inconvenient for you, please

to make other arrangements.
